Transform Early Years/ KS1 oracy in 10 minutes a day without extra preparation using Pip & Pop Talk Time!
What is oracy?
Oracy is the ability to express ideas clearly, listen actively, understand others and engage confidently in spoken communication.
The Talk Tower supports the development of oracy skills, providing a clear progression through upwardly developing stages of spoken communication, allowing pupils to gradually build confidence and independence when expressing themselves verbally.
Talk Routines
Evidence suggests that oral language interventions are most effective when they are frequent, purposeful and embedded into everyday classroom practice. The Talk Tower provides a short daily routine to support this.
Pip and Pop oracy modelling
Pip and Pop demonstrate good oracy skills to encourage children to express their ideas, give reasons, develop social skills and interact with each other.
Talk Cards
As well as oracy modelling, the programme provides daily prompts. Children practice a new communication skill through a short daily routine using sentence stems, partner talk and structured discussion.
